Nancy,
My name is Faith and I am the owner of SunShine Wholesalers who sells
SunShine Tea. I enjoy reading your newsletter and thank you personally
for the many new customers that have come from your website.
Lately, there have been many e-mails about the cost of shipping and about
the product.
First, I did not send in the recent email that was un-signed about how
good the tea was and the fact that it was worth the price. I thank you for
making a statement that you didn’t believe it came from SunShine and you
have tried the product and liked it.
Since you, in part, have been responsible for sending me many new
customers, thru a link, I’d like to tell you a little about myself to ease
any concerns you may have about me or the integrity of my Co.
I am a 60 year old woman, who has been married for 40 years to a wonderful
Christian man. Since I take care of our 3 young, exceptional grandchildren
everyday, I run SunShine Wholesalers out of my home in Florida.
When you call, I will be the voice on the other end. It all started
because my family enjoyed Mingo Bay Tea, and could no longer find it. I
tracked down the company who sold it, but did NOT make it. I became a
distributor with them.
After that company stopped selling it, I contacted the beverage company
who actually made it. Since it would take an eternity to drink the amount
that I would have to order, I thought that perhaps others would also be
looking for it, so I started selling it with my own label. And I was
right. 95% of my customers are good folks who have been looking for Mingo
Bay Tea on the internet, and end up finding SunShine Tea.
Regarding the high cost of shipping, yes, I too feel it is expensive,
especially when you order one 16 ounce bottle or one 32 ounce bottle. If
you have ordered on my site, you would know that there is an “estimator”
on my site to estimate the cost of shipping. It is a direct link to United
Parcel Services. I do charge $1.50 to help offset my packaging costs,
whether you order 1 bottle or 100. High fuel costs are the reason for the
shipping costs. I know there are companies out there that make more money
off of shipping & handling charges than the product is worth. I do not and
never will.
When Mingo Bay was selling it, they would not sell anything less than a
case, which was 6 bottles, because there was no profit. I do it because I
know that there are people out there that enjoy the product and it would
take an awful long time to drink that much. I talk with quite a few senior
citizens about the fact that they can’t have caffeine and are on a fixed
income. When I can “help” them out, I do everything I can.
When I send my order to the beverage company, I always get a bill AFTER my
delivery, for “fuel surcharges”. I absorb this additional cost.
I am, in no way, making money off of the shipping. If I could find a less
expensive way to ship, I would, and I welcome suggestions.
As I said, I’m only telling you this so that you would, hopefully, feel
more comfortable about your readers’ concerns. I sell a great and unique
product which cannot be found anywhere else and I do everything I can to
keep my customers happy. I have had only 1 complaint and I ended up giving
a refund to that person, which shocked her. I believe she was one of your
readers also.
You can re-print any or part of this or none at all. Sorry I rambled on,
but I just wanted you to know about me personally. I know I would if roles
were reversed.
You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your brother. I too lost a
brother a few years back, and relish my good memories of him. I know that
I will see him again, and he is free from all of this strife in this
world.
Have a GREAT week.

Thank you so much for sending this message. I have tasted your tea
and it is very good. I agree with you that you did not sent the
message trying to advertise the tea. It was one of our members just
making a statement about the tea and did not include their name with their
message.
