For Sarah, Ar: I always keep some onions fresh, but I also buy 2 at a time for just chopping and freezing. I don't know if I would like the frozen onions on a hot dog, I like fresh for that, but I use the frozen ones any time I am in a hurry. I throw some into a tuna salad, while browning hamburger, or casseroles. I throw them in with green beans, when I sauté them in butter and soy sauce. I add a little garlic powder and pepper to them, too. Also, they are great
in fried potatoes. They are really a time saver. I chop the onions and put into a Ziploc bag where I can flatten them out in the freezer. When frozen, I can easily break them up to get out as much as I desire.

For Merry in Vernon, TX (7/29), looking for the Italian fried rice balls, I don’t have a TNT recipe for them, but we tasted them for the first time this summer at a little shop in London. (Our big anniversary trip that we had waited 36 of our 40 years together to take!) The name for them is arancini. If you google either “Italian rice balls” or “arancini”, you’ll find a bunch of recipes. The shop where we tried them had 18-20 variations, even a couple of
sweet/dessert versions. There are three recipes for arancini on the Food Network site, but none from the restaurant visited on Road Tasted. Hope this might help you track down a recipe to try if no one has a TNT recipe to share.

For Mike in Montreal (7/29), no problem about recipes you aren’t ready to share. I certainly do understand how long it takes to develop a recipe for general distribution. We started publication of Fizzy Meals over 18 months ago, and it still takes 50-60 hours a week to get each issue ready. We generally have 6-8 new recipes each week. I do share pretty much any recipe someone asks for since most of our subscribers come to us for the service (menus, shopping list, game plan, etc.), not just the recipes. So always feel free to ask. Good luck with your venture. I’ll be anxious to hear more about it when you’re ready.

Regards to all and stay cool. Just when it looked like it might get a bit more “average”, the temps here have spiked
again.

Hi all
A lot of restaurants serve potato skins for an appetizer also serve a dipping sauce with them. Does anyone know what kind of sauce it is?
